The Jesus Perfume – Spreading His fragrance

Remember how you always recognize the scent of a loved one once you step into the room?  You instantly know that Mum or Dad have been in that room.  This week we take a look at what I have called the Jesus Perfume.

But Thank God! He has made us captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.

In the scripture above, we see that God uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ, this simply means that in every aspect of life, we should bring the fragrance of Christ that promotes the knowing of our Lord. The fragrance proves to people that you are different, you are re-born, you are a child of God. You transform places by the power and presence of the Lord Jesus. Your actions advertise the kingdom of God so people start to say I like this fragrance or ask “who are you wearing?”  Your answer- I wear Jesus!

We are the Jesus Perfume- Our everyday lives should give out a sweet aroma of Christ in us, working through us and liberating the lives of men by His power at work in us. As we submit every day to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we build our aroma of Christ. When we come in contact with people, they should recognize that which we carry and its saving power unto them that believe.
SO what aroma are you carrying?  Are you the Jesus Perfume? Or do you wear a different fragrance? Is your aroma spreading the knowledge of Christ or the knowledge of man?  Is this aroma bringing salvation or death to many? Today, consider what aroma you are giving off.
