Rise, Take Your Journey and GO!!!

This Panam Percy Paul’s song has been on repeat in my mind for over a week. It’s a catchy tune and very apt for today’s devotional-
I have made up my mind
I will follow Jesus – yeah yeah

We must make a deliberate decision to follow Jesus, through the good, bad and ugly times. The Bible says -In all things – Give thanks – for that is the Will of God for us in Christ Jesus. We must also in the Journey, represent the One who has sent us. It is a priviledge and an honor to serve our God in this journey of life. Being called from assignment to assignment with the ultimate purpose to enhance and advance God’s Kingdom agenda. However the sad news is that many of us are yet to start this Journey of purpose. Yes! A large number of us have allowed fear to take hold of our hearts and we have remained at point A. This week, I am charging us all – RISE! TAKE YOUR JOURNEY and GO!!!

“Rise, take your Journey and cross over the River Arnon. Look, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and the land. Begin to possess it, and engage him in battle.

Our text is taken from Deut 2: 24 (NKJV)

We remain stagnant not because some enemy somewhere is stopping our move but because we are not willing to move!!!! We sit in one place moaning about how life has dealt us a very unfriendly hand and we are doomed. The enemy seems big and furious we will certainly die if we went near enough to take the land! All excuses that hold no water. In today’s text, God is commanding His Children to move! They had wandered in the wilderness for forty years and it was time to make a move. See God’s instruction to them- He has given the enemy into their hands.

What is holding you from taking your Journey? What has kept you down? Do you hear the Lord speak today? Yes He is saying to you Rise, Take your Journey and Go!! God is saying He has gone ahead of you, He has made every crooked path straight, he has brought down every mountain of opposition, He has raised up every valley. He has given the enemy into your hands – GO into the Land and possess it!! You are strong, mighty and He has made you into a mighty weapon to shatter the enemy!! Yes the land is there for the taking!!! START your Journey now!!

Prayer for this week

Today Lord, Open my eyes to see the Journey. I receive strength today to GO!!! In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
