THE MIGHTY ARM OF GOD – RESTORE

Christmas is right round the corner! Christmas excites me! It’s the season of Joy and speaks to the beginning of the restoration of the relationship between God and man. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was born, sent by the Father to restore man back to his rightful place with Him. Great that this week we are looking at the ‘Restore” part of the Mighty Arm of God series. Remember we are in the seasons of Release, Restore and Rest.

The release brings you to a new place of assignment, into a new season where God starts to restore what has been lost or taken from you in the place of captivity. God wants to give you double for all of the trouble you have gone through. Your pain becomes the power that keeps you in Him.

“so I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust and the chewing locust”

Our text is taken from Joel 2:25a

This must be the most popular verse when it comes to restoration after release- it’s the familiar and personal; God speaks to us about restoration. It’s a promise. He never will fail on any promise, He is a good God.

When the God of restoration visited Abraham, he became a father of many nations (Genesis 17:4: As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations). When He visited Job, his fortunes were restored and God granted him the grace to forgive and pray for his friends, even those that hurt him. After that, the Lord increased all that Job had twofold (Job 42:10). Hannah gave birth to Prophet Samuel after many years of waiting and heartbreak. Her waiting and restoration were apparent for all to see.

Key of all restoration stories is our relationship with God!! This is the foundation for any journey of restoration any individual takes in life, God restores His relationship with us through Jesus Christ. In that single action of love, all we have lost through sin and unrighteousness is restored to us in Christ. What a delight to know.

My heartfelt prayer today is that the Lord God almighty will restore to you all you may have lost and surprise you with multiples Amen!
