The Power of a Believer

What a delight to know God in these times. He is always ensuring that we remain victorious in every situation. God with man equals the anointing, and Gods anointing is the power that works in us.

Trusting God and an understanding of the Power at work in us remain key to living a victorious life in Jesus Christ. Lets focus on the Power at work in us today.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound

Our text is taken from Isaiah 61:1 (KJV)

The Power that is at work in us – The Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1: 19- 20 speaks on the working of this mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of the Father. That is the Power at work in you. This same power worked all miracles seen in the Old and New Testaments. Remember the parting of the Red Sea, the Plagues, various healing miracles – Naaman’s leprosy, raising of the dead etc. How powerful! The Power at work in us!

Have you ever wondered just how powerful God has made you! His word says He has not given us a Spirit of fear but of Power, Love and a Sound Mind. From the very beginning, God has equipped us with power to achieve and shine!!!! We are not to give in to fear, but rather tap into the Power at work in us and stay victorious in the face of challenges.

So yes the Holy Spirit is at work in us however His power in us remains potential till we set it into action and it becomes kinetic. How do we transform from just potential to action? So far, I have seen three basic things work out in my life; Praying, Studying the Word and Speaking the Word! It’s really simple; praying builds an intimate relationship with the Father and your faith in Him, Studying reveals the God story and your role, Speaking the word reveals your trust in Him and your eagerness to see God’s promises at work.

Today, ponder on the Power at work in you as you realize that this same power raised Christ from the dead. Know this; God wants you to succeed and He has equipped you with all that you need!! Tap into the Power today, build on it and see God work great things in your life!

Prayer for this week

Father, please give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation to build my knowledge of you, for the eyes of my understanding to be enlightened that I may know the working of your mighty power in and through me. In Jesus name Amen.
