The DEEP – Depth (Part 1)

The DEEP – Depth (Part 1)

Hello Tribe, how is the countdown going? Hope you are trying your very best to finish well and strong. The Grace of our Lord is sufficient for you. Remember you have been created to do good works by Him. Do not despair, only Believe.
As we continue to pursue God, forsaking what may look forlorn before us, as we keep searching out the DEEP things of God, let us go into another series after the BET and ASK series that would provide some insight into what the DEEP with God means.  My definition of DEEP is;
D epth of His Character
E nlightenment of our souls
E xperience God
P ower of His Might

Going into the DEEP is receiving great revelation about the depth of God’s character; who He is as God and as Father.  We cannot know all of God, however, as we journey with and desire a more intimate relationship with Him, He starts to reveal Himself to us more and more.  How much do you know God? What can you say of Who He is? What are some of His attributes that have been revealed to you?

14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.

God is everything we want Him to become. God’s character is one of love, faithfulness, mercy, justice, righteousness, integrity, truth, goodness, holiness and many more. Thing is that we know of certain attributes of God but may not have experienced all; probably yet to see a demonstration of these attributes in our lives or a failure to recognize because of our insensitivity to the Holy Spirit.  I find that I see many of these attributes in times of trials or transition as I travail in prayer. One key attribute I have held on to as I discover more and more about the depth of His Character is His amazing and immeasurable love for me! It overwhelms me all the time. God is LOVE! No debate about it. All He does comes from that single attribute- it’s amazing. What do you know of Him?
His Faithfulness; 2 Timothy2:13if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
His Integrity; Numbers 23:19 – God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?
The Holy Spirit reveals God’s Character to me through these key ways:

  1. Through studying the word
  2. In Prayer, Praise and Worship
  3. By listening to teachings on God’s character and desiring to learn more
  4. Finding Him in the midst of fiery trials
  5. In the refiner’s fire or during a major transition in life

 Today, start to dig in deeper to know more of God and start to see with fresh wonder the God whom we serve. Alleluia.
