Greetings Beloved,
How are you doing? Just found out about this poem written in these times and thought to share it with you;
And the people stayed home. And read books, and listened, and rested, and exercised, and made art, and played games, and learned new ways of being, and were still. And listened more deeply.
Some meditated, some prayed, some danced. Some met their shadows.
And the people began to think differently. And the people healed.
And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless, and heartless ways, the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.– Kitty O’Meara.
As we continue to tarry at home whilst this plague blows over, while we continue to pray for all the people in the front lines of this war and for many others who have lost their loved ones to this terrible virus, what are we doing with the time now given to us?
Whether we are alone or with family? What choices are you making? What sacrifices are you making or will make to ensure everyone is doing ok?
The path of sacrifice is one borne out of love in its purest form. It is one that chooses to do just because you want the best for the other person.
As we celebrate Easter this Sunday, let us remember the ultimate sacrifice that was offered on our behalf by a Father who loved us despite our failings; Jesus Christ
I John 4:10 says This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
