Four Ways to Align with God – Part I

We continue from last week on Aligning with God to live a full life and stay on the path of purpose and power. Remember we have defined being in alignment with God as ‘coming into a position of agreement with God. It is going into an alliance with Him, allowing Him arrange our route in the correct positions. How do we align or get re-aligned with God? I will talk on four ways; Obedience, Prayer, Decrees and Declarations. This week we will look at Obedience and Prayer.

"I will lead the blind by a way they do not know, In paths they do not know I will guide them I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone."

One way to build Alignment with God is through Obedience;

We must come to a place of total obedience in God, we must keep away from all things that dishonor God. God has set standards for us as His children, His standards are holy and are meant to keep us from sinning and falling out of sync or position. When we allow others set standards for us, it can leave us compromised and walking in disobedience. It is important to see as God sees, to hear Him when He speaks to us and to have a heart that obeys whatsoever He says to us irrespective of how things looks. To get realigned in the way of obedience, we need to take these three steps- Repentance, Submission and then daily Confessions. We repent of any sin that has created a misalignment, then submit ourselves to the work of the Holy Spirit, then daily confess our desire to live our God Story.

Another way is through Prayer;

Let thy Kingdom come, Let thy Will be done” should be our daily earnest and heartfelt prayer to God. This comes from a place of total submission to God and knowing that His will is good, perfect and pleasing. Being in the center of God’s will is paramount for alignment. This earnest prayer has set me right all the time. If you have found yourself walking in the fulness of God’s will, always ask the Holy Spirit if you are fulfilling purpose as a check. Praying God’s will opens up your Spirit Man to receive direction and clarity of purpose from God the Father through the Holy Spirit. Praying also keeps you alert on distractions and helps you with heaven sent strategies on how to handle such. With praying His Will, you are tuning your Spirit man to God’s frequency and this starts to create an order of things in your life.

Next week we look at Decrees and Declarations.
